What the collection is for

Ceremonial plates mark something: an anniversary, a completion, a person, a date. They are commissioned individually through the Custom Plate Studio in gold, silver or platinum, and they are worn deliberately rather than daily.

02

How a commission works

The patient describes the meaning rather than the design; a Design Specialist translates it into options compatible with the registered interface, the approved finish set and the way the surface will wear. The design record documents each decision.

03

Boundaries

Ceremonial work is design work within a clinical system. It does not alter the interface, does not change the clinical plan, and is declined where the concept would compromise either. Alternatives are offered rather than a refusal.

04

Timelines

Commissions take longer than catalogue systems, and patients planning a piece for a specific date are encouraged to begin the conversation months ahead rather than weeks.
