Marking, engraving and applied surface detail are reviewed for compatibility with the material, finish, profile and attachment method before they are designed. Orientation is documented in the Digital Plate Planning System alongside every other planning decision.
What is considered
Depth and density of detail interact with finish and with how a surface wears. Fine work on a surface subject to regular friction reads differently after several years, and Design Specialists will say so during the conversation rather than after it.
Commemorative and personal work
Dates, initials, motifs, commemorative marks and set stones are common requests and are treated seriously. AREOLA declines work that would compromise the clinical system, and offers alternatives — a different placement, a different depth, a different plate in an interchangeable collection — rather than a flat refusal.
