Call your care team
Contact your center's nursing line for increasing discomfort, changes in the appearance or colour of the site, drainage, a plate that feels loose or differently positioned, difficulty with an interchangeable plate, or anything that does not match what you were told to expect.
Call sooner rather than later
Reporting a change early is routine and frequently prevents a longer conversation later. Care teams would rather review something that turns out to be normal than learn about it weeks afterward, and nothing you report becomes an obligation to proceed with further care.
Emergencies
For severe pain, fever, significant bleeding, breathing difficulty or any other emergency, use local emergency services. AREOLA is a specialty institute and is not an emergency provider. Notify your center afterward so that the event is recorded in your plate history.
