What to gather
Prior operative reports and device documentation, a current medication and allergy list, the names of clinicians involved in earlier care, and any imaging you already have. Partial information is enough to begin; a coordinator will tell you what is still worth requesting.
Questions worth asking
Which pathways are plausible for me, and why. What would need to be true before you would recommend proceeding. What would you expect the result to look like in five years. What would revision involve if I wanted it. What does this cost, and how is it classified.
After the visit
Write down what was decided and what was left open before you leave the building. Your coordinator's summary will cover the formal record, but the sentence you remember at the door is usually the one worth checking against it.
