Purpose of the check
The Annual Plate Check is a short, scheduled review of the plate site, the surface condition of the plate, the fit of the system and any change you have noticed during the year. It is a maintenance appointment, and most visits end with no change to the plan.
What is reviewed
Appearance and comfort, skin condition around the site, surface condition and finish, attachment or interface behaviour for interchangeable systems, and the accuracy of your registered record. Any external plates you use regularly can be reviewed at the same visit if you bring them.
Participation
In the 2025 eligible cohort, 84.7 percent of patients completed an Annual Plate Check. Attendance is encouraged rather than required, and patients who cannot travel may be able to complete part of the review with their center by arrangement.
