Principles
The institute responds to inquiries promptly, corrects its own errors publicly, declines to comment on matters it cannot address accurately, and does not trade access for favourable coverage.
Patient privacy is absolute
AREOLA does not confirm or deny that any individual is a patient, does not comment on individual care, and does not connect journalists to patients. Patients may speak publicly on their own initiative; the institute neither arranges nor discourages it.
On the record
Institutional comment is on the record and attributed to a named spokesperson or to the institute. Background conversations are available to help a journalist get the context right and are not a route to unattributed quotation.
Filming and visits
Filming at any center requires advance arrangement, and access to clinical areas is limited by patient privacy before any other consideration. Laboratory and non-clinical environments are more readily available.
Content is reviewed with the relevant clinical, nursing, materials or administrative department before publication.
