Care in Los Angeles

What this center is known for.

The Pacific Center carries more decorative surface work and Studio consultation than any center in the network, supported by an on-site surface finishing capability that is unusual outside Philadelphia. Its practice is organized around the conversation where clinical constraint and design intent meet.

Every center works to the same clinical standards, uses the same digital planning record and draws on the national materials and plate laboratory in Philadelphia.

01

Decorative surface replacement

Approved surface work within a compatible clinical system is a defining part of the case mix. Every design is reviewed for compatibility with material, finish, profile and attachment before it is drawn.

02

Surface finishing on site

A surface finishing technician is based here, which shortens the loop between a design conversation and seeing a finish in person.

03

Platinum systems

The Platinum Series is planned here more often than the network average, frequently for patients who want the least visible long-term change.

Consultation

First appointments, second opinions and planning conversations with a replacement specialist and nurse.

Surgery

Procedures performed in the center's surgical suite, with perioperative nursing and anesthesia support.

Platinum systems

Platinum Series planning for patients seeking the most stable and understated surface.

Custom Plate Studio

Design consultation for commissioned work, fabricated and finished at the national laboratory.

01

Center leadership

Andrew Kline, MD, leads the center clinically; his background in architecture shapes how the center approaches proportion and material, though he is careful to keep that vocabulary separate from clinical judgement. Julia Tran, NP, provides advanced practice leadership.

02

The care team

Replacement specialists, perioperative nursing, advanced practice providers, patient coordination, clinical plate design and surface finishing.

03

Visiting this center

General consultation windows run five to seven weeks, the longest of the West Coast centers. Patients whose plan is primarily clinical rather than design-led are sometimes offered an earlier appointment at the Sonoran or Cascadia centers, and coordinators will say so rather than let a patient wait unnecessarily.
