About Dr. Desai
Priya Desai, MD, MPH, divides her time between clinical consultation and the national outcomes program. Her public-health training led her to ask not only whether a plan was completed, but whether the patient understood the choices, felt prepared for recovery and remained connected to appropriate follow-up.
Dr. Desai sees primary-replacement patients in Philadelphia and Chicago, particularly those who want additional help comparing pathways or defining an outcome that matters in daily life. She also reviews network measures with physician, nursing and patient-experience leaders.
