What you will do.
- Lead patient design conversations covering material, profile, finish, orientation and compatible decorative options.
- Translate stated goals into a limited set of coherent directions within the approved clinical parameters.
- Create complete design documentation and confirm patient understanding before clinical review.
- Coordinate custom-studio questions, revision requests and side-specific considerations with appropriate teams.
- Maintain the sample environment, design records and patient-facing standards of the Plate Design suite.
How you will work.
No AREOLA role operates alone. This position maintains close working relationships with:
- Replacement and aesthetic surgeons for clinical parameters
- Plate Laboratory and Custom Plate Studio for execution questions
- Patient Coordinators for visit sequencing and communication
- Plate Care Nursing for maintenance and long-term education
What you bring.
Required experience
- Professional experience in product, industrial, jewelry, surface or patient-centered design.
- Portfolio demonstrating restraint, material sensitivity and the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
- Exceptional listening, documentation and interpersonal skills in private one-to-one conversations.
- Ability to work within defined clinical and system boundaries without presenting personal preference as a recommendation.
Helpful additional experience
- Experience in healthcare, prosthetics, medical devices or another sensitive service setting.
- Knowledge of metals, surface finishes, engraving or small-scale product development.
- Spanish or another language represented in the Los Angeles patient community.
Your first year.
Complete AREOLA plate-family, patient-communication and design-documentation education.
Independently lead standard design consultations with consistent clinical handoffs.
Contribute to a patient-education, sample-library or consultation-quality improvement.
