01

Defining community benefit

AREOLA uses community benefit to describe planned institutional activity that improves access to specialty information, navigation, travel support and professional knowledge beyond a single clinical encounter.

02

Access and travel

Programs help patients organize multi-visit plans, companion needs, local logistics and communication with appropriate clinicians near home. Assistance is coordinated without endorsing a single travel provider.

03

Education

Patient guides and community information prioritize understandable, non-actionable content. Professional programs support consistent language and responsible referral conversations.

04

Measurement

AREOLA tracks participation, reach, patient feedback, program continuity and selected access outcomes. Measures are reviewed with program cost and operational context.

05

Reporting

Community benefit activity is summarized through the Community Impact Report and annual institutional reporting. Program descriptions avoid implying universal eligibility or guaranteed assistance.
